Minimum Requirements for DHET Administration Clerk Position

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements:
    • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or an NCV Level 4 certificate.
    • A National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 6) in Office Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • Work Experience:
    • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in government monitoring, evaluation, or performance reporting for TVET colleges.
  • Key Skills and Competencies:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to draft minutes, reports, and official documents with accuracy.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and data administration skills.
    • Experience in general office administration and event management.

Key Responsibilities of the DHET Administration Clerk

The appointed Administration Clerk will be responsible for:

1. Administrative Support for TVET Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Assisting with the implementation and evaluation of the maturity model for TVET institutions.
  • Supporting student admissions, registrations, and enrolment management.
  • Conducting site visits as needed for monitoring purposes.

2. Data Administration and Report Compilation

  • Managing and tracking reports related to TVET performance and compliance.
  • Compiling and analyzing data from TVET colleges.
  • Ensuring all administrative records are up to date and easily accessible.

3. General Office Administration

  • Drafting official correspondence, minutes, and reports.
  • Coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and other logistical needs.
  • Handling event planning and stakeholder engagement.
